Safety Precautions

At Brian P. Ganley DMD Family Dentistry, the safety of our patients and staff is of the utmost importance. We are taking the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and have been following the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS). Please contact our office at (978) 448-5523 or grotondentist@gmail.com with questions regarding our COVID-19 protocols.

If, in the past two weeks, you have tested positive for COVID-19, been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or have traveled to any state or country that has not been deemed “Lower Risk” by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, please contact our office regarding your upcoming appointment. Additional information about the MA Travel Order can be accessed using the following link: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/covid-19-travel-order.

If you have experienced any of the following symptoms in the past two weeks, please contact our office to determine if your appointment requires rescheduling:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • New shortness of breath
  • Fatigue/general malaise
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat

For a full list of possible COVID-19 symptoms, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html.

What to expect during your dental appointment:

  • In an effort to limit patient interaction, we are asking only patients with scheduled appointments to enter the office. If the patient requires assistance or is a young child, we ask that only one family member or caretaker accompany the patient, if possible.
  • Masks should be worn at all times in the office unless the patient is in the dental chair.
  • Upon entry into the office, all individuals will have their body temperatures taken using a non-contact thermometer. Dental treatment will only be provided to individuals with a body temperature of less than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Patients will be asked to fill out a Patient Screening Form provided by the ADA prior to their appointments.
  • A hand sanitizing station will be accessible to patients at the front desk and hand washing stations are available in all treatment rooms.
  • Increased personal protective equipment (PPE) has been made available for both our administrative and clinical staff, including fiberglass barriers, N95 masks, face shields, and isolation gowns.

Please do your best to follow our COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety of our staff and other patients. If you have any questions regarding our COVID-19 protocols or your upcoming appointment, please contact Brian P. Ganley DMD Family Dentistry at (978) 448-5523 or grotondentist@gmail.com. Stay safe!
